An Introduction to a Quietude Based Practice
This course is for anyone who is interested in the healing power presence and of non-invasive touch. Refine your ability to be present with yourself and others. This practice supports bringing about an enhanced quality of embodiment that can enrich the quality of your life as well as the practice of personal and professional therapeutic touch.
Beneficial for healthcare practitioners such as nurses, massage therapists, Reiki practitioners, ND’s, MD’s, physical therapists, yoga teachers, psychologists, social workers etc. to apply in their area of expertise. Laypersons are also welcome to attend to improve the quality and presence of their touch in their personal life & relationships.
Our small class size will ensure that each participant receives ample hands-on support to facilitate learning. We will have a maximum of 8 students.
Together we'll explore tools that support the development of a grounded and centered self. We will cultivate embodied self-awareness and improve balance in our own inner-landscape. From this centered, neutral place, we'll form a therapeutic relationship to the source of healing within another via gentle hands-on touch.
- Development of a centered & grounded state of being
- Cultivation of embodied self-awareness
- Enhancement of perceptual awareness via the felt sense
- Form & strengthen relationship with the innate healing potential
- Learn to listen to the wisdom of the recipient's body
